1 (A) Information collected through The Crisp Side services

i. Information you voluntarily give us

For registration: when you sign up for a The Crisp Side service, we collect personal identifiers such as your contact information, including your name and email address, and account credentials.

For user-generated content: we may offer you the ability to post content other readers can see, such as comments. Anyone can read, collect and use any personal information that accompanies your posts. We are not obliged to publish your content.

For contests, giveaways and special offers: from time to time we run promotions. When you sign up for one, you give us your name, your email and any other required information.

For reader surveys and feedback: we gather personal information through questionnaires, surveys and feedback programs.

ii. A note about sensitive personal information

We generally do not want to gather sensitive personal information about you. That includes government-issued IDs, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religion, health or biometric characteristics, sexuality, citizenship or immigration status, criminal background, the content of your private communications, or your precise geolocation.

5. How long do you keep data?

We store your personal information for as long as needed, or permitted, based on the reason we obtained it, consistent with applicable law. Rather than delete your data, we may de-identify it by removing identifying details.

6. How do you protect my information?

We protect your personal information with appropriate organizational, technological and physical safeguards — but we cannot guarantee absolute security. We recommend you use complex, unique passwords for any account you hold with us.

7. Are there guidelines for children?

The Crisp Side is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under thirteen (13) years of age. We do not knowingly gather personal information in a manner not permitted by COPPA.
